Today, the ever-so talented Amy Winehouse, 27, was found dead in her London home, the AP reported. The troubled singer had recently completed rehab to ready herself for a European tour - one which many fans hoped would propel her comeback. I sure did.

It’s very sad that someone as young, talented and generally well-liked didn’t make it. I hope this serves as a call to all of those people out there fighting addictions and other personal troubles to get help.

I found these lyrics from one of my favorite songs from her Grammy-winning Black to Black (2006) most fitting today:

Over futile odds
And laughed at by the gods
And now the final frame
Love is a losing game

May Amy rest in peace, free from the demons that may have perturbed her.
